Gr0ve (1091), Oslo, Norway Jul 14, 2007 750 ml bottle. Golden colour with a slight haze. Throws a very tall head. Cap opened with a bang, so there seemed to be a lot of carbonation in there. Head is white and fluffy. Apple and citrus aromas bordering with phenolic. Soapy. Surprisingly acidic, but is really refreshing. Citrus and apple flavours. Must be some lactic acid in there. Reminds me a little of a Gose. Interesting beer, but I’m not 100% certain that they intended it to be like this. khytre (73), Oslo, Norway Jul 8, 2007 Strange pale colour, almost purple in there! nice frothy head.
almost no aroma, but taste is refreshing, but short.
The least disappointing brew from this brewery, in my opinion. thebeertourist (1804), Oslo, Norway Jun 29, 2007 75 cl bottle from Fenakroken, Oslo. Pours clear golden with a big white head. The aroma reminds me of my own (unsuccessful) home brews- mix of yeast and sourness that you can call fruity at best. The taste is not so bad- some initial toffee ending with a yeasty dryness and a sour, fruity note. Lightish body. Far from excellent, but drinkable. larsga (2149), Oslo, Norway Jun 25, 2007 Vast offwhite head. Hazy yellow body. Acidic lightly citric, peppery aroma with soft metallic, fruity notes. Sourish barnyard taste, quite light, with metallic, fruity notes. Metallic, sour aftertaste. Quite nice. Too sour for a session beer. (Should it really be this sour? Might want to rerate.) (0.75l bottle.) Finn (1085), Tromsø, Norway Jun 5, 2007 At last: A bottle reached Tromsø in drinkable condition. Rune has struggled hard carrying undrinkable stuff from Gardsbryggeriet at least twice from Oslo. Thanks for your effort, Rune! Bright golden coloured. A huge creamy head that disappeared in a couple of minutes. Sourish fruity aroma. An immediate flavor of cow stable transforming into fruity notes. A sourish dry bitter finish.
