Bottle picked up from brewery . Had this in house for some time. Amber in colour, aroma a bit sweet but also quite fruity, tastes fine if a little bit thin and weak. Its ok when drinking as a session beer it’s nothing to get excited about.

A Mes rate: Gravicask @ Reading Beer Festival. Golden amber. Wheaty note with slight citric hops. Similar flavour but with the none too inspired addition of old tea. Thin mouthfeel. Not great at all.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Dark amber to red in colour, slightly perfumed but otherwise not much scent. Aromas of grapefruit and orange with only a little hop. Smooth and only lightly carbonated. OK as a session ale, but really quite bland.

Cask@The Red Lion, Isleworth, WLondon. Very light and watery session bitter. Some slight metallic edges and dry grainy malt flavours, quite bland.

Cask, Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Copper-gold, thin white head. A sweet barnyard aroma. Really funky, but in a way that seems intentional. I’d love to know if it’s a yeast character or a hop character that is contributing the barnyard. A little like the catty smell of Columbus, but much more dairy barn. Nice full bready sweetness, with just a touch of bitterness in the finish. A surprising amount of body. An interesting little ale that brings more substance and flavor than the ABV would lead you to expect.
