Phenols (here is smoke and clove) show off well in aroma, along with big fruitiness. Mouthfeel is rounded as always with a wizen, yet here slight lacking in Co2. There’s a great deal of tin (phenols again) character in the flavour, but not a lot of fruitiness. Not much esters, but good tasty! The finish is all about the tinned ham character, and that lasts pretty long. After is suggestions of diacetyl, but very subtle. Bart (1636), Brussels, Belgium

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 30, 2008 Pours out a very dark and hazy yellow, nearly brown with a thick white head. Aroma is very fruity, full of bananas and perhaps even a touch of cherry. Taste is sweet with yeasty and wheat notes, very watery, although somehow boozy. This beer is just a bit hollow and leaves a bit more to be desired. This hefe is rather unremarkable. ha1ag (419), Maastricht, Netherlands
