Garrafa. Tomada em Grindelwald (SUI), com muita neve lá fora. Típica hefeweizen. Coloração âmbar turva, com creme branco consistente e persistente. Leve frutado. Notas suaves demais. Poderia ter mais personalidade. Leve presença de cravo. Carbonatação média/baixa.

Pours a fully clouded brown gold with a huge white head that falls, but sticks around for a little bit. Nose is earthy and tar-like yeast. Flavor is a bit lighter at the start than I would have figured with what I got on the nose and how it looks. It lifts itself up fairly quickly though. Lemon tones with a fairly strong yeast body. Very mild tar on there. But the aftertaste is what is really key here. Man does it stick around. Feel is nice and smooth on the liquid and with a decent bubble. Pretty drinkable. Smooth and even and well made. Nothing showy at all. Just a decent hefe. Worth a shot.

Bottled. Cloudy golden, average head. Papery phenolic banana aroma. Sweetm syrupy and appley with medium body. An undeveloped hefeweizen with a industrial cut-the-corners-to-save-money approach.

Bottled. Opaque dark yellow with a rich, sticky white foam. Spicy aroma of cloves, mild pepper and banana. Spicy flavour of cloves, banana, wheat, mild lemon and pepper with a semi-dry finish of spices and banana.

Hazy golden coloured body with a soapy white head. Aroma of lemons, wheat, yeast and coriander seed. Light to Medium-bodied; Nice full wheat taste with lemons packing a punch soon afterwards. Aftertaste shows some of the light spice and refreshing yeast - but a mediocre flavoured beer at most. Overall, a decent german wheat - one to try if you really like them. It seems that I was one of the lucky ones to get this bottle stateside, since most of the ratings thus far have been from overseas. I purchased this 50 cL bottle in the middle-of-nowhere at Sam’s in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and sampled it on 29-September-2007.

500 ml bottle, bought in Edinburgh. ABV is 5.3%. Hazy pale golden colour, huge white head. Lovely hefeweizen aroma, the usual notes: cloves, banana, bubblegum. Soft mouthfeel, sweeter than many other h.w.s, moderate flavour of banana and cloves.

Draught at BBF07. Cloudy orange colour. Small stable white head. The flavour has some banana, but the carbonation is so high and rough, that is seems to obscure everything else. OK, I guess.
