Commercial Description:
A dunkel style lager beer, with origins in Munich. To order this beer in Munich, one simply asks for a "dunkel" (dark). Our Black Forest is dark, malty, full-bodied, and a little sweet. It is lightly hopped to prevent an overly sweet flavor. Gold Medallist at the Great American Beer Festival 2000.

Chestnut hued. Dense tan head. Feisty carbonation. Medium light body. Burnt dry chocolate and a touch of sour caramel. Fluffy carbonation. Dry astringency and a mild bitterness. Finishes with a hint of cottony malts. Very nice version.

Some malts, little bit of hop, too thin, rather drink other stuff.

I was expecting more from this dunkel. Too light, and little flavor. Go to the Chruch Brewworks and get Pious Monk

Very little aroma. Root beer color with small foamy head. Light carb, smooth and watery. Malty taste, bit of wort. OK, but nothing special.
