Valhalla Porter

Very solid offering. Dark brown color with a tan head that shows decent retention. Aroma of roasted malts and a touch of coffee. The taste has a nice malt sweetness and shows great chocolate notes, with just the right amount of bitterness in the finish. Seems a little thin on the mouthfeel, perhaps the carbonation level is just a bit low. Very drinkable though, as this a nice robust porter.

Above average beer but it really was not memorable. It tasted like a typical Porter (so it wasn’t bad or anything) but it was nothing special.
