Feb 17, 2008 1/5/08, 11th and Final Brewery of 07/08 Roadtrip with Bikesandbeer and his girlfriend Jesse. Drove out the way to get to this brewery, which was worth it, really nice people and good food and good brew. Pours black with a thin half finger head. Nose is sweet and malty. Taste is sweet, malty and light and pretty good overall stout.

Oct 31, 2008 Draft @ Valley Brew. Pours a dark chocolate color; creamy, light tan head with fine-bubbled lacing. Solid amounts of toasted bread, cocoa, and bread yeast in the aroma; singular. Chewy nougat, caramel, and chocolate upfront; nicely dense and flavorful dry stout, with just a touch of lactic / milkiness; loads of cocoa. Nicely toasty at the core. Lengthy finish: dry chocolate, cocoa, and toasty malts; again, very nicely dry and toasty.

Jun 17, 2007 12-oz. Thanks, Aspidites! Pours deep opaque black with thick moussy tan head. Big roasty and slightly sour nose. Medium body; lightish attack. Roasty, ashy, malt-sour mid-palate. Clingy ash finish. One of those beers you could drink a lot of without noticing, but not remember for long after. Nice but undistinguished.

Mar 18, 2005 Very soft and dry with a creamy cocoa mouthfeel. Very clean and unastringent palate. Nice mild mocha and vanilla flavors. Exceptionally clean and dry finish. What an Irish dry stout should be.

Jul 1, 2007 12oz bottle from beervirgin72 - Thanks Dawn! - Pours black with a big mocha head that stays well and laces in layers. Aromas of roasted malts, some chocolate, and a touch of coffee. Lots of roast in the flavor and even a bit of burnt malt. Some coffee and dark chocolate show through as well before the dry finish. Smooth and easy drinking. I think this is a dry stout.. Pretty tasty though.

Jul 18, 2005 Draft. on nitro. Black beer with a big beige nitro head. Roasty, slight chocolate/coffee flavors. Low roasty aroma. Some hops, but the malts show through and shine.

Oct 8, 2007 Unique muddy, pipe smoky, woody aroma. Flavor is hugely, intensely smoky, earthy (basement?), almost overpowering, but good. Lots of both roasty and hoppy bitterness going on. There’s some raw aspect here that I can’t quite place that doesn’t sit well with me but I can’t help liking this.
