A deep dark stout with a thin moka head. In aroma, a pleasant sweet chocolate, roasted malts, and nice alcohol. In mouth, a nice light chocolate, some light metallic notes. Not bad. On tap at brewpub, August 27 2009.

Tap at the brewpub. Very black with a tan head. Smooth burnt/toasted malt aroma. Medium body with medium carbonation. Flavor is slightly sweet, like a Baltic Porter - but mostly bitter from dark roast malt. Finishes towards dry.

On tap at the brewery. This black ale poured with a modest tan head and a smoky aroma. There is a substantial roasted malt base that is sweet with a chalky dry finish.
