Cocoa, coffee, anise, dark fruit and a touch of what almost seems like rye bread tickle the senses. Full and round mouthfeel leads to a nice soft and slightly lingering finish. Pours a dark brown/black with a creamy two finger tan head, moderate retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is roasted malts, with chocolate, coffee grounds, and dried oat flakes. Flavor is also roasty, with more chocolate, coffee and oats. Nothing overly complex, but an enjoyable stout just the same, thanks again Steve!
