On tap at Beachwood a few weeks back. Color was a clear amber with a creamy head. Aroma was yeasty, gummy, wheaty. Pretty nice. Flavor was similar; yeast, fruit, wheat and bubblegum. A bit dry in the finish. Good stuff.

Cask Stillage from the Jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 25/09/2009 Floral hop aroma. Clear golden coloured strong in alcohol and hoppy. A little rich on the palate and fruity with a crisp and slightly dry malt finish.

GABF 2009. Great yellowish-golden appearance with a lasting, creamy white head. Aroma is pale malt, grain, yeast, light fruit, and grassy and citrusy hops. Flavor is surprisingly somewhat pilsner-like, sort of a hybrid between an imperial pils and a Belgian strong golden. Pale malt, grain, yeast, mild funk, grassy and citrusy hops, apple and pear. A little spice. ABV well-hidden, can’t believe this is almost 10%. Medium-bodied with soft carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel. Pretty solid overall.

GABF 2009. Pours sparkling dark yellow with an average, creamy white head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, toasted grain, hay, straw, cereal), heavy hop (flowers, pine, grapefruit, citrus), average yeast (sweat) with notes of apple, pear, and honey. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

Tap at Beachwood BBQ. Nose of caramel, sweet malt, light flowers. Color is a nice mousey brown. Flavor is like the nose, but with that easy Valley yeast character, faint hops, mineral water and grains. Smooth and sweet.

On tap @ Beachwood BBQ. Clear amber orange with 1 1/2 finger creamy off-white head, good retention. Great lacing as well. Spicy Belgian yeast up front with some dry orange rind coriander stuff going on. Flavor is much the same with some faint grain and honey added. Dry herbal hop finish with only a trace of alcohol detected. Medium-full body with low carbonation. Good US Belgian! Now that I see there is pomegranate juice, I can pick it out. Otherwise, nondescript fruitiness.

Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Abundant spicy aroma of nutmeg cinnamon honey and fruit. Tastes of honey pommegranate lime and sweet spice. Excellent.
