(10/29/08) Bottle at the brewery in Stockton (thanks a lot Steve and Mike!). Hazy golden color. Spicy fruity aroma with some light citric tones and some malt cookie-ish notes. Sweet flavor with some honey, caramel notes, some fruits, spices and a bit of alcohol. Medium to full-bodied. A good Belgian.

22oz bottle, courtesy of KrausenJockey. Thanks!! Pours a hazy, honey-golden color; fine-bubbled lacing. Lots of honey, white pepper, and sweet maltiness; nicely sweet. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy honeyed sweetness, pepper, and slightly warming honey / malt goodness; chewy, dense tripel with a touch of warmth; pepper and honey. Lengthy finish: honey, white pepper, and lasting malt sweetness; nice yeast character and pepper.

Bottle... RBSG ‘08... Cloudy yellow ale with a small white head. Good retention. Spicy, herbal aroma. Full-bodied and syrupy with soft carbonation. Too sweet for me. Spicy and herbal, but not balanced enough for the style or my palate. Sweet, warm, dry finish.

Pours opaque pale orange gold with thin tan head. The nose was Summer fruits and candied sugar. Creamy on the palate and the taste follows suit with the aroma. A bit of sour in the finish. I want to have it again when it’s not following dozens of others at RBSG.
