All kinds of goodness here: Rare + highly rated + >10.1% + barrel aged. 22oz handbottle via Steve and AgentSteve in a combo trade with WeeHeavy. Wow, what an aroma. Buttery sweet. Thick. Malty. Darkish amber color. Tastes very barrel aged. Definitely the highlight of the night. Excellent. You never know with a hand bottle, but this one was top notch: 10,4,10,4,19: 4.7-4.8.

Upfront this hits you with an amazing butterscotch aroma (a rich caramelly one), spicy, some dark fruits, vanilla, just lovely. Flavors go fig, butterscotch, vanilla, sugary dates, some alcohol, brandy hints, rich toasted malts. Though some alcohol is evident, I would have never guessed it was 13%. Smooth. This was just fantastic. kp (8399), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Clear, caramel-colored ale with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is an intoxicating whirlpool of buttery caramel, brandy, whiskey, wood and golden raisins. Full-bodied and syrupy with restrained carbonation. Lots of caramel malt and residual sugar with lesser degrees of alcohol and dark fruit. It’s warm, but not 13% warm. The cask aging has rounded off any rough edges. Malt bomb. Boozy, bittersweet finish. Big props to SoLan for acquiring this world class masterpiece and sharing it with the crew! dchmela (1430), Orlando, Florida, USA

Huge caramel, vanilla, barrel aroma. Malty, brandy, hop taste that has a lot of barrel characteristics in it. Insane over the top aroma and taste, thanks Alan! mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA

Pours a lightly hazy amber maroon, with a small white head. Nice coloring. smells of some nice dark fruits, butterscotch, bready yeast, and big caramel malt. The caramel malt was quite profound here, and the mouthfeel was smooth as silk. The vanilla and butterscotch are abundant in the finish, with a noticeable alcohol burn that tingles the back of the throat as it goes down. Very nicely crafted, from a killer brewery. mcbackus (742), Merritt Island, Florida, USA
