062207. Courtesy apidites. Ruby/amber with a small, frothy, white head. Lots of rich and toasty malt, fruity and lightly spicy yeast, and some candy licorice. Medium/full on the palate, balanced. Solid. Not overly complex, but very tasty. (7/4/8/4/15=3.8)----- 110507. Courtesy boboski via aspidites. Bottled with wine yeast. Clear amber. Small tan head. Aroma of vinous dark fruits, candy licorice (good-n-plenty), rich and sweet toasted malt and candi sugar, caramel, light spiciness, and some alcohol warmth. Similar flavor- more caramel and alcohol. Medium/full body, smooth, warm. A little more complex than the last batch, solid (8/4/8/4/15=3.9).

Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a white head. Aroma is malty, citrus, and a hint of spice. Flavor is citrus, and bitter spices.

12-oz. Thanks, Aspidites! Pours deep hazy straw with a thin ring of white foam. Huge sour apple nose, along with some tart funk, too. Lightly fizzy body--nice horse blanket and oxidized apple notes, and a light finish.

Enjoyed at NoogFest III. Pours amber and clear with a thin head. Fruit and malt immediately in the aroma with an almost candy like presence. Sweet malty flavor with dates and raisons. Creamy full body. Good.

An amber color with a citrus, caramel, and alcohol aroma present. The flavor was rather complex with some caramel, raisins, honey, and a hint of citrus. A rather sweet alcoholic finish. A nice attempt at a Quad.

Brown, clear, no head. Sweet brown sugar dominates the nose. Flavor is mix of brown sugar, molasses, rum and honey, with subtle notes of raisin and prune, Nice mix of flavors throughout, I would’ve like to have had a bit more for further analysys. Nevertheless, very tasty and luxurious. Yep, I said luxurious.

Translucent oranges and reds compose a sexy amber body. The thin and creamy off-white head is well-sustained, lacing is partially covering and very pretty. A quad that’s so easy to peer through it nearly worrisome, but stunning nonetheless. Yeast and caramel lead in the aroma, with toffee quickly following. Alcohol is very noticeable but seems on par for the strength. Sharp fruitiness includes tangelos, plums, prunes, melon and molasses. Very good flavor: authenticity abounds for the most part. Further contemplation brings to light a lacking malt profile, thin and unsupportive comparedd to the robust sugars. Candy sugar seems very plentiful, though very well integrated and utilized. Very sweet but never cloying. The carbonation is velvety. Acidity is low to low-medium, same goes for bitterness. The palate is medium-full, very viscous and pointedly sticky. Finishes fruity sweet, drying fairly slowly. Tasty but lacking depth. This is, however, very original and yet another testament to the inventiveness taking place at Valley brewing.
