ratman197 (2344), Arvada, Colorado, USA Sep 14, 2008 On tap @ Valley Brewing Pub poured a cloudy gold with a small lasting white head. Aromas of fruittiness, spice and a hint of wood. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of pear, spice and light strawwith a smooth lightly dry fruity finish. SuzyGreenberg (1028), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 31, 2008 sampler @ brewery - light orange and cloudy; considerable lacing from the thin white head; smooth, rich aromas of flowers, spices and yeast; a little fruit mixed in there too; crisp body with mild mix of flavors; slight spice in the dry finish doubleo (825), San Diego, California, USA Jun 30, 2008 On-tap and from a 2l growler. Pours dark yellow with orange highlights, thin crisp white head, little retention, specks of lace. Smells of spices and bready malt with a little bit of banana. Even more spice in the flavor, bready and yeasty malt flavors as well and some banana sweetness. Medium body, crisp but somewhat subdued carbonation. AgentSteve (831), SF Bay Area, California, USA Jun 13, 2008 Pours hazy bright golden. Nose is full and rich with spice, banana and clove. The flavor is the same, with an added influence that is like rose petals, rounding it out and causing it to flow like lace over the tongue. Subtle bitter finish. beerguy101 (3488), Newark, California, USA Apr 8, 2008 This Belgian Ale pours a deep orange gold color from a hand bottle 22oz bottle. Thanks Steve. Medium sized white foamy head, with good retention and nice lacing, Aroma is fruity, sweet and yeasty. There is also a touch of hops as well. A medium bodied Belgian Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are floral. It still has that nice spiciness and yeastiness that one would expect from a Belgian style ale, but there is a good dose of hoppiness. This beer has been in the bottle for a year or so, and it has a very nice crisp and dry finish. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and spicy.
