Bottle from Krausenjockey. Thanks a lot Steve! Pours a hazy amber with a thin off-white head. Nice tan lacing throughout. Aroma garnered lots of toasted malts, bready yeast, a little citrus and soily, earthy hops. Flavor is bready and yeasty, with fruity hop bitterness and sweet toasted malt notes. More hop assertive than many belgian ales I have tasted. Alcohol well controlled and hardly noticed. Easy to drink, interesting brew. Nice stuff. Thanks again, Steve!

Bottle... RBSG 07… Cloudy amber ale with a small, wispy, well-tanned head. Breadsy, phenolic nose with lots of coriander, Bazooka bubblegum, orange peel and a whisper of grapefruit. The flavor is subtle, but all over the place… spicy coriander, light grainy sweetness and mild bitterness with a suggestion of acidity. Light to medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes spicy, fruity-sweet and then dry. Thanks goes out to stoutlover72 for providing this beer to share with the RBSG 07 Crew in Minneapolis!

Sampled at the RBSG ’07 Grand Tasting room. Sample brought in by Hopscotch. Pours a hazy brownish-amber brew with a quick dissolving beige head. Aroma of bread dough, apricots, bubblegum and some coriander. Taste is medium bodied, light bitterness, with some acidic aftertaste. Finish is light vegetable and some sweet orange zest. A different Belgian style beer.

Very cloudy dark amber pour, small quickly fading light tan head. The aroma is moderately sweet and lightly toasty with notes of grains, orange pith, earthy hops and light, soft yeast. The flavor is lightly bitter, lightly to mildly sweet, very lightly acidic and somewhat spicy. Finishes spicy, medium-dry and yeasty. The mouthfeel is light-to medium bodied, malty and nicely hoppy, drying. Uninteresting but not boldly flawed or offensive in any manner.

Sampled at the RBSG 07 Grand Tasting. Brown color with no head. Subtle spice nose with a body that didn’t impart much other than malt.
