AgentSteve (919), SF Bay Area, California, USA Apr 10, 2008 Steve from Valley brings yet another treat to the NorCal tasting. So delicate and smooth on the tongue, complex in the flavor and aroma with just the right amount of fruit sugar sweetness and cherry tartness. Perfect balance. Every sip lasted a full minute as the flavors evolved and delivered a true experience. More please?
bradlyc77 (52), Sebastopol, California, USA Nov 20, 2008 I agree with the more sweet than sour comments. Nice malty character, chewy and strong. shigadeyo (1500), Southwest Ohio Area, Alabama, USA Nov 19, 2008 7/28/2007: Valley Brew Decadence Grand Cru has a golden color with a pink hue to it. Mellow, soft cherry, tropical fruits, some acidic sourness, and some vinegar grace the beautiful aroma of this beer. This beer is mildly sweet with tropical fruits, some malt, and a hint of alcohol (which pops out more when the beer warms up). There is a bit of white wine flavor in the mid-palate and some bitterness in the finish. It addition to the wonderful flavor, this beer has a soft, smooth, mellow, and milky texture. This is a really, really good Grand Cru!

Sample from 6.3 fl. oz. bottle shared at the "Columbus Tasting: Ate, now with gramatical errors" event. Thanks! Rating #56 for this beer...
BrianK (84), New Jersey, USA Jul 28, 2008 Stone Sourfest. Enjoyable and interesting. Honey on the finish. Malty and sweet up front. Nice for a 12% sour. fordest (1857), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Jul 28, 2008 Sampled at the Stone Sour Fest. More sweet than sour, but I love a good sweet beer. Some cherry and berry flavors on the aromas. Some more on the flavor with touches of citrus too. Very nice. doubleo (966), San Diego, California, USA Jul 26, 2008 On-tap at Stone Sour Fest. Pours cloudy brown orange with a moderate sized head, specks of lace. Smells sour and malty with some vinegar and alcohol. Tastes sweet and alcohol malty, some sweet fruity citrus notes. Full body, subdued carbonation.
