This stout pours a dark black color from the firkin. Small sized head. The aroma is sour cherries, coffee, some spices and some funk. A medium bodied stout. The malts are fruity, tart cherries, semi-sweet dark chocolate and coffee. The hops are earthy. Lots of dark fruit flavors, plums, prunes, dark cherries. Nicely funky. Need a touch more carbonation. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly tart and funky. fidel (959), Livermore, California, USA
