Commercial Description:
Our take on the traditional old style or oud Kriek but with an added twist of fresh pommegranites added as well as sour cherries to the fermentation. Fermented in an American Oak white wine barrel for 1 year.

Bottle… Murky, caramel-colored ale with a small, off-white head. The aroma is a sweet/tart mishmash of cherries, graham, brown sugar and caramel. Medium to full-bodied and astringent with spritzy carbonation. Acidic and fruity with sufficient bitterness to afford balance. Fruity, tangy, bone-dry finish. Kudos to SoLan for sharing his stash!

Bottle sampled @ mgumby10’s courtesy of SoLan: Pours a rose-orange, extremely effervescent. Aroma is sour fruits, damp cellar, with a stinging sourness. Flavor is not quite as sour as the aroma leads you to believe. Very tasty, musty, and medium-sour. Drinkable, but not quite Frieky.

Courtesy SoLan. Pours a cloudy burnt orange color, with a small off white head. Smells of nice cherry and tannic sourness, mixed with other tart fruits, and a touch of oak. The flavor is bended quite gracefully. Nice sour cherries and oaky wood mixed together. Other tart citrus fruits come into play as this was not a cherry bomb like some krieks. I thought this brew had just enough and was sour, but didnt leave you begging for mercy. Lived up to my expectations I would say.

Courtesy SoLan, socialist bastard. Pours a warm pinkish brown. The aroma is strongly sour and acetic, with a cherry back note. The flavor is not as intensely sour as I had expected, but is still very good.

Noogfest ’08, thanks beerguy101. The body was hazy copper. The aroma was tart with cherries. A little bit of vineous character. The taste was tart with some bread crust. There was also a little bit of lemons. Not a great version, but the effort is appreciated.

At Noogfest Four-O. Pours opaque orange with small beige head. The aroma is funk, mild cherry, and slight sweat. The flavor is tart, but with smooth sourness, a hint of cherry, and a nice dark earthiness. A little more cherry comes through in the aftertaste. This is quite good.

Pours a hazy amber. This is pleasantly tart and has a modest fruit side instead of overkill. Nice.
