Commercial Description:
Our take on the traditional old style or oud Kriek but with an added twist of fresh pommegranites added as well as sour cherries to the fermentation. Fermented in an American Oak white wine barrel for 1 year.

Reddish brown, no head. Nice fresh cherry and red wine and cherry aroma. Flavor is cherry and funk (in the sense that "funk" can be a flavor) and some winey notes. Very earthy and tasty. Finishes dry and tart. Thanks to beerguy101 for bringing this to Noogfest 4!

Draft. Hazy rich amber beer with an off-white head. Oaky, tart aroma. Nice tart flavor with cherries, malt, and oak. Possibly some lemoy notes as well. Fruity tartness lingers nicely. Medium bodied.

Bottle at the brewery. (Fat freddy´s Drop from New Zealand is my favourite band. (Pretty sure there’s no connection there.) Pours a hazy brown with no head. Moderate sweet- and sourness with a light bitterness. Aroms of cask oak, berrries and cherries. Also hint of grainy malt aromas. Medium to full bodied. Lively carboantion. Dry finish. Thanks.

Big nose of funk, cherries, oak, sourdough and berries. Big and complex mouthfeel with huge up front acidity and balanced by wonderful cherry notes that drop off at mid-palate exactly where the pomegranate picks up and comes to a crescendo at the end.

22oz bottle thanks to Pantanap as part of the pre-pre-DLD train gathering. Murky red-brown with slight beige head. Aroma was funky strawberry, a little dry, a smell that can only be described as philidelphia cream cheese, red fruit, very fresh. Pucker, cheese flavor with dirty sweet, tart/sour, cherry. Medium, tart body. Very interesting, enjoying it. Thanks kan!

22oz bottle thanks to kan for sharing this rare beer. Pours a hazed red-orange with a soapy white head. Tart and funky nose. Sour cherries, dough, cheese, and an odd creamy yeast .. seriously strange. Not bad but strange. Its not til Kan said that I was sure. Cream cheese, cherry cream cheese. Sweet, earthy wood, cheese, cherries, creamy yet sour flavors. That creamy yeast and cheese was a completely odd combination, but still good. The only thing I have to know is, does this metra serve bagels?
