harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 4, 2009 Bottle at Chriso pre-GBBF tasting 09. Very sour. Lovely fruit. Really good fruit, lovely cherry. Bit of funk. Lovely sour fruit, have I said that already? Lacks a little structure but one of the better American sours. ChristianScheffel (4423), Odense, Denmark Sep 11, 2009 Amber with a small white head. Aroma of vanilla and oak, with weak fruity and spicy notes. Tart and oaky flavour. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Sep 9, 2009 A Mes rate: bottle at the ever brilliant Chris O’s Pre GBBF Extravaganza. Red-ish amber with a thin white film. Excellent cherry and superb fruit all round. Jesus this is really good. An exceptional flemish sour base, the tarty fruit and oak are just about perfect and the balance of sweet and sour is right up there. It’s not huge, it’s not particularly complex, but bugger me, it’s a belter. Balance, finesse, stunning palate topped of with an amazing sour, then sweet, then sour finish. Bloody excellent. cgarvieuk (4159), Edinburgh, Scotland Aug 27, 2009 Bottle at Chris-Os Pre GBBF 09 tasting ... Copper ... yeasty barnyard nose ... tart light sour fruity ... little cherry. Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 15, 2009 Growler. Clear reddish amber with a small off-white head. Fat and fruity berry tartness in the nose. Medium body, tart berry-like fruitiness - very intense. Tart and woody notes, tart finish with a whiff of acetone. Fresh one. 110709 Magicdave6 (5383), London, Greater London, England Aug 10, 2009 Bottle at the legend of chriso’s pre GBBF09 tasting. Alround rating: Bittersweet kriek, grassy, woody tannins, not as sour as expected. A bit overly yeasty which has muted it a bit. SilkTork (4151), Rochester, Kent, England Aug 6, 2009 Chriso Shindig Aug 2009. Dry and funky with a pleasant sweetness. OK. hughie (3016), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Aug 2, 2009 At Chriso’s pre GBBF Shindig ’09. Brown. Slight sourness in the aroma. Immensely sour fruity taste. Some astringency and dryness. Liked this.
