Commercial Description:
A German-style hefeweizen made with 50% pale malted barley and 50% malted wheat. Valley Brew hefeweizen is lightly hopped to allow the natural spice and clove flavors produced by the yeast to be the beers focal point. A real enjoyable beer on a hot summer day. Approx. 4.5% by volume.

Very clean and soft nose with touches of citrus, banana, clove and mild peppery spice. Soft mouthfeel with good carbonation and very delicate flavors that balance well with the lacy mouthfeel.

Tasted on site at the May beer tasting. The beer pours a cloudy yellow color with a hint of orange in it. Aroma is banana and soft cloves with a mild malt character. Flavors were pretty much on course with the aroma. Easy to knock back.

Tasted at the May Northern California Beer Tasting. This hefe pours a cloudy yellow gold color from the tap. Medium to large white foamy head. The aroma is banana and clove, wheat and fruit. A light to medium bodied hefe. The malts are wheaty and fruity, there is less banana and clove in the flavor than in the aroma. Light and refreshing summer beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Pours very Hefe like, (as expected!) with a clove sweetness in the nose and flavor. Clean and refreshing in the 95 degree Stockton heat.
