| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 20, 2006 Definitely my personal favorite of the night. The hops aroma was just simply perfect IMO. The flowery aroma was just near perfect. The flavor profile was definitely malty but a bit nutty like almonds, and it had a nice hop character as well that was pleasing. Like their other beers, this is done very well and it rated the highest for the night. grant (792), Colorado Springs, CO, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 8, 2007 Nice light brown with impressive white head. Strong, dank hops aroma - apricoty pine needles. Nice dry pale maltiness, great peachy/coniferous hop character in flavor. Pleasant, moderately malty body, lingering, thorough hoppiness. Very good! muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 9, 2006 12 oz bottle consumed in the generous company of tiggmtl, MartinT and Rastacouere. A snow-white head tops the amber-bronze, hazy (bottle conditioned) body....pungent, spicy nose of noble hops, dry wood and just a hint of rainforest wetness....solidly bitter, clean, fairly light earthy body, with a quite hard, peppery, lightly roasty finish....a bit of citrus, but mostly woody and dry hops, the malt is definitely not just a supporting character here, partnering very well with the spicy bitterness. Quite nice. aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 18, 2005 Updated: Dec 3, 2005 Nose of simcoe hops. Very clean and dry malt forward mouthfeel with a mildly nutty flavor. Resinous and clean finish. Nice session beer. This beer is a totally different beer than previous iterations, the only thing remotely the same is the name. It is now a very dry and clean hop bomb. My new fave " session brew" if you can call 60+ IBUs a session beer. And at only 4.9% abv the hops smack you in the face with a wonderful hop blast. This is a rerate. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 3, 2006 Any first impressions?
-A creamy sheet of foam covers the amber gold.
-An intense and intriguing wooden and sandy hop nose is bulked up by some apricot fruitiness.
-Wooden and orangey hops gently blend with doughy, toasted maltiness.
-Although the body is well-fed, it remains eminently drinkable.
What if you dig deeper?
-Some citrusy fruitiness appears within the aroma.
-The wooden hoppiness lingers, bringing along its toasty malts for most of the ride.
-Bread crumbs are formed by the inventive hop and malt union.
-A very flavorful and unique American Pale Ale, sporting one of the ugliest (and funniest) labels ever.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 11, 2006 Pours a clear amber bronze with a nice, pillowy, clumpy-lacing off-white head. Semi-sweet lightly resinous fresh piny hoppy aroma. Body starts with a touch of pale malty sweetness turning more bitter and slighty peppery with nice Saaz hoppy character toward a crisp, dry bitter finish. A refreshing and drinkable brew. Light amber color, small white head. Fresh hoppy aroma - flowery, almost like "cat piss" :) Honeyish flowery hoppy - very fresh good A/IPA. Bonus points for nice label! zathrus13 (1313), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 10, 2006 Pours gold/orange, with a tan/white head. Aromas are hops, hops, and more hops. Flavors are grapefruit, some malt, and caramel. Fairly one dimensional. Than ks to davecooks for this bootle.
