Candied and bready nose with wisps of citrus and spice. Soft mouthfeel with mild heat and lots of sugar and white fruits. Clean and spicy finish.

May 28, 2008 Tasted at the May Northern California Beer Tasting. This barley pours a deep amber color. Small to little head. The aroma is caramel, fruity and sweet. It has a touch of late harvest Gewürztraminer as well. Medium bodied Barley wine. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are earthy. Sweet and fruity and very complex. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Mar 22, 2008 At the brewery, pours deep copper brown with a tight off white halo of a head. Nose is strongly malt with some dried fruit. Flavor is complex, with sweet fruits, sugars, a bit of dough and malt. Quite nice.
