goldtwins (3747), Nesconset, New York, USA Aug 18, 2008 RBSG ’08: Poured a hazed dark amber color with an off-white head. Toffee and milk chocolate aroma. The flavor was of roasted malt and chocolate. Mild warmth. Smooth mouthfeel with a light carbonation.

Nose is indistinct and slightly sweet. Taste was great, sweet with big raisin character.and a full bodied feel with a bite. golubj (1085), Redwood City, California, USA Sep 15, 2008 Sample at Stone Brewing; i don’t really remember other than what alexanderj wrote down. I thought it was sugary but roasted; as well as being grassy and yeasty. alexanderj (1404), San Diego, California, USA Sep 8, 2008 Sample at Stone Brewing; caramel and red in color. Fruity and caramel aroma with some cocoa. Flavor was like that of a solid barleywine; caramel and fruit predominantly. A bit of hopping. Golubj liked it a bit more than me giving it a 3.7; he thought it was sugary but roasted; as well as being grassy and yeasty.
