Spice, spice and SPICE that reminds one of spice cake and curling up before a warm fire. Lots of spice on the palate with great conditioning and lots of spice that carries thru from beginning to end.
Smells like a nice leisurely stroll through a pine forest on your way to a brothel with a $2 dollar hooker on your arm.

Nov 30, 2009 Bottle. Black body with a creamy tan head. Very spicy aroma of ginger, cinnamon, cardemom, chocolate and roasted malt. The flavour is light roasty, ginger, cinnamon, chocolate and caramel. Very spicy brew.

Clear dark dark red brown color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heaavy malty, dark roasted, coffee, spicy, coriander, cinnamon, cardamom, pumpkin notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, pumpkin - cardamom, peppery finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, not very balancede - messy. [20091123]

Nov 23, 2009 bottled. Pitch black coloured. Dense brown head. Aroma of cinnamon and cardamom. Vague cocoa. Flavour of vanilla, cardamom, light roast and fruits. Medium to full bodied. Dry. Spicy light roasty end. Aroma is totally dominated by the spices, but the flavour is a bit more subtle.

Nov 23, 2009 Bottled. A pitch black beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, chocolate, and wood. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of wood and dark bitter chocolate, as well as medium notes of roasted malt and spices - cardemomme and some cinnamon, leading to a dry spicy, roasted, and woody finish.
