Commercial Description:
Überhoppy Imperial IPA: Hops, hops glorious hops! There is no mistaking what this beer is; soft and delicate it is not. Überhoppy is meant to completely overwhelm you with resinous, floral, citrus and herbal hops barely balanced by a huge amount of malt that keeps the Lupulin onslaught from resulting in complete palate destruction. If you do not like hops, Überhoppy is NOT the beer for you, do us all a favor and either give this beer to someone with the intestinal fortitude to appreciate it or put it down and walk away. Überhoppy is brewed with 10 different hop varieties and a complete and utter disregard for common logic or sanity. Please consume this beer as soon as possible to ensure maximum hop freshness. Approximately 9.5% ABV.

Uber good! Bottle thanks to a trade from TheBeerCellar. Thick amber pour with smaller head. Nice hoppy/citrus and some pine nose. Flavor is big and hoppy up front, as expected, but then the malty goodness hits. Very nice creamy and smooth mouthfeel. Almost a woody flavor then takes on to the finish. Nice IIPA, thanks!

BeerGeeks - 12/2/08 - Big Brassy DIPA - Like the colour of Aires rock, and with a hoppy nose to completely assault. Really well made DIPA. Drinkable even at 10%. Pine, citrus, blah blah blah.... big hops, big malt, and one hell of a beer.

Courtesy boboski. This one poured a deep burnt orange almost copper color with a small white head. The nose is all hops in this one. Huge aroma of grapefruit hops, oranges, and other citrus fruit. The hop intensity is just crazy on this one with a nice mixture of fresh fruit. The flavor is very big as well of grapefruit and oranges along with the piney and floral hops. There is a nice solid malt backbone as well with some caramel sweetness to help balance out all the hops. A really nice balance to this one. This one is medium bodied that goes down smooth with a nice resiny hop taste in the finish. Really well done.

A full-bodied ale, featuring a bouquet of hops! Unfortunately not a regularly-brewed ale by Valley Brew or I’d choose it every time. One of the best Imperial IPAs I’ve had. Refreshing in the summer, warming in the winter.

Crazy ass small release hand-bottle from Bobobski shared at the O-town Throwdown!! Pours a slightly hazy very light amber with a thin white head and great lace. Aroma is tons of simcoe hops- piney and grapefuit, spicy with pepper hints, with some sick weed- kine bud character to it with tons of sappy resin. Intense minty resin flavor with some menthol, pine, tons of citrus and grapefruit, pear and a tacky intense bitter finish- good body and ending is so freakin bitter. Awesome beer. Thanks again Jason.

Bottle… O-Town Throwdown Part Tres... This beer rocks!... Murky caramel-colored ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Excellent retention. A churning eddy of earthy pine needles, spruce bark, pink grapefruit and gobs of caramel thrown into this olfactory cauldron of hop and malt bliss. Intensely bitter grapefruit pith and juniper tannin flavor is almost, but not quite, balanced by malty caramel sweetness. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Lengthy, bitter, citrusy, and then dry finish. Bottle courtesy of boboski. Thanks to Bobo for providing the opportunity for me to try a beer I’d been wanting to get my hands on forever and a day!

Courtesy boboski. Experimental 12-bottle, non-dry hopped version! Pours a thick, cloudy, dark burnt-orange amber color. A small, foamy, off-white head leaves behind minimal spots of lacing. Immediately, a huge nose of fresh orange and grapefruit hops explode from the glass. The hoppy intensity is cut slightly by notes of cream and citrus chiffon. Surprisingly, the nose is almost completely void of any sort of discernible malts, with its sweetness coming almost exclusively from fresh fruit. The flavor is excellent, though not quite as impressive as the nose. Ultra hoppy, with grapefruit and orange again providing fresh citrus intensity. Caramel and toffee are present this time around, though they play second fiddle. Excellent balance. Medium full bodied and very smooth. Awesome brew!

Courtesy Boboski, thanks Jason, I finally get a chance to try this one. Pours hazy copper with lasting off white to tan head. The aroma is just huge!!! With grapefruit hop notes all over the place. I can see some on the ceiling. It has grapefruit juice, grapefruit rind, under ripe grapefruit wedges, - wow! The taste is much the same starting with bold grapefruit juice mixed with grapefruit rind and orange rind and then green under ripe grapefruit wedges. Again, wow! There is a mild malty sweetness that just barely murmurs to the surface from time to time. The whole experience progresses with ever increasing grapefruit hop bitterness that just doesn’t give up until well after the taste is over.
