Commercial Description:
Überhoppy Imperial IPA: Hops, hops glorious hops! There is no mistaking what this beer is; soft and delicate it is not. Überhoppy is meant to completely overwhelm you with resinous, floral, citrus and herbal hops barely balanced by a huge amount of malt that keeps the Lupulin onslaught from resulting in complete palate destruction. If you do not like hops, Überhoppy is NOT the beer for you, do us all a favor and either give this beer to someone with the intestinal fortitude to appreciate it or put it down and walk away. Überhoppy is brewed with 10 different hop varieties and a complete and utter disregard for common logic or sanity. Please consume this beer as soon as possible to ensure maximum hop freshness. Approximately 9.5% ABV.

Bottle, courtesy Ibrew2or3. Copper pour, lively, frothy white head and lacing. Nose is massive amounts of hops, citrus and pine. Bitter, some sweet malts. Flavor is big on hops, very bitter, tropical, with some vanilla notes. Excellent beer, very yum and plenty of unique notes to make this not just another double IPA.

Bottle. Clear pale orange with little head. Aroma is clear hops and sort of an even mix between floral and grapefruit. flavor is bitter but not strongly so palate is short and a bit sticky, but doesn’t leave a flat bitter in the mouth. Hides the strength well.

Colour... clear amber with a 1/4 inch white head. Nose... sweet! With loads of grapefruit!! Palate... OK Whereas it was grapefruity on the nose, the palate is piney! I rarely find that quality in an IPA, i.e. it tastes piney but smells like grapefruit, or vice versa. Lightly sweet and quite floral with a bit of candied citrus on the finish.

Sampled at GABF. Hazy golden orange in color. Nice herbal citrus aromas. Solid hoppy bitterness with a medium body. Great balance of sweet malt and resiny hops. Good tasty finish. Excellent.

Bottle. Pours a copper orange with a hazy off white head. Aroma has new tires, pine, earth, citrusy orange notes, and a bit of spiciness. Flavor is moderately bitter with muted malts, very spicy and dry. Medium bodied, modest carbonation.

Bottle, thanks Matt! Pours a clear plum red with a sticky beige head. Strange, herbal nose. Hard to pick out the elements of this, but it’s more than grass and forest pine. Almost like smoked bacon. Flavor is a gorgeous expression. Light and nimble, with a fresh, almost minty finish that explodes with piney hops. Balance is perfect. This would have been even better right after the release, but its merit is evident nonetheless.

22 oz bottle from Cloudskipper. Copper/amber in color, lightly hazy with a medium lasting off white head. Sticky syrup and citrus in the aroma, a bit resinous, aroma is good but I thought the aroma would be even more intense than it was. Taste has alot of hops, sticky citrus and light tropical fruit, alot of pine with a strong bitterness. Body is quite full, has alot of toasted malt character but the body doesn’t get too over the top. Bitterness lingers nicely, gets stronger as you continue to drink it. Some alcohol in the finish.

Bottle thanks to Mashmaster. Pours an amber color with a nice white head. has a nice citrus smell to it. Taste is citrus at first but seems a little watery on the back, Little disappointed with the finish on this one
