Commercial Description:
Überhoppy Imperial IPA: Hops, hops glorious hops! There is no mistaking what this beer is; soft and delicate it is not. Überhoppy is meant to completely overwhelm you with resinous, floral, citrus and herbal hops barely balanced by a huge amount of malt that keeps the Lupulin onslaught from resulting in complete palate destruction. If you do not like hops, Überhoppy is NOT the beer for you, do us all a favor and either give this beer to someone with the intestinal fortitude to appreciate it or put it down and walk away. Überhoppy is brewed with 10 different hop varieties and a complete and utter disregard for common logic or sanity. Please consume this beer as soon as possible to ensure maximum hop freshness. Approximately 11.3% ABV.

Another huge thanks to Oakes for a bottle of this tasty brew. Deep brown beer with a very fine laced yellow head. Cloudy brew with suspended yeasty chunks despersed throughout. Massive chewy, resiny hop aroma. Sweet grapefruit, mango, papaya, tropical juiciness over some equally complex toasty caramelly malts. A hint of milk chocolate in the nose as well. Flavour matches the aroma quite well. Initial strong hoppy flavour, soft carbonation and very creamy mouthfeel. Tropical, amarillo/cascade hop flavour, light resinousness in the middle before the sweet caramelly and chocolatey malts settle into a soft, bready yeasty finish. Very unique brew, smells like a big hoppy IIPA with loads of hoppy aroma and flavour, but the flavour has only moderate bitterness. Lots of malty complexity without any roastiness. Hop flavour is incredibly fresh with light grassiness, sweet juiciness and even a kiss of spice underneath. Lightly warming but the alcohol is very well hidden. Soft and chocolatey.

(10/29/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in Stockton. Hazy orange color with a white head. Aroma of citrus hops, some fruits and light maltiness. Sweet malty flavor with cookies, caramel, biscuity notes and a bitter hoppy finish with some citrus and alcohol notes. Medium-bodied. Good but not amazing. 7/4/7/3/15=3.6
(10/29/08) Draught at the brewery in Stockton. (thanks a lot Steve and Mike!). Hazy orange-amber color. Aroma of citrusy hops, some fruitiness and some malt in the back. Sweet flavor at first with cookies, caramel and some honey-ish notes. Continues with lots of hops and big bitterness, some fruits, and some alcohol. Nice silky mouthfeel. 8/4/7/4/15=3.8

Sampled via 22-oz bomber during Heritage Liquors tasting and shared by Faro99. Pours a semi-clear orange amber brew with a thin and creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of heavy malty caramel with grapefruit, citrus zest a touch of iced tea, and some white pepper. Taste is full bodied, very light carbonation with flavors of caramel malt, some biscuit character, grapefruit, pine and some white pepper. Finish has a thick texture with a lingering bitterness and caramel aftertaste. Most excellent.

Great hop aroma, with beautiful amber color. No mistaking the hops, great through to the finish. An excellent brew.

Bottle 12fl.oz. @ home.
[ Trade by Papsoe ]. Unclear hazy medium orange color with a small, virtually none appearance, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, heavy hoppy, resin, orange, wood pine. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration and a peppery - alcoholic very dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily - sticky, carbonation is flat. (300808)
