On tap. Clear orangey brown with a dense beige head. Aroma of burned caramel and roasted malt with a vague edge of discetyl. Medium-bodied, sweet fruits, caramel and roasted malt with a vague underlying tartness and a dry, lightly bitter finish. 210809

From tap at the brewpub. Pours deep amber dark brown with a creamy tan head. Roasted malty aroma,light liqourice note. Flavour is roasted, dark malty and liqourice. Bitter, dry and slight hops fruity flavoured. Lingering hoppy and roasted flavoured finish.

Draft at the brewpub. A red-brown beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has acidic notes combined with light notes of caramel and nuts. The flavor is sweet with an acidic edge of phenol combined with a bit of caramel and nuts, leading to a dry acidic finish.

Clear medium to dark red brown color with a average to large, creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, burnt roasted, caramel, buttery. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090506]
