| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Dec 22, 2005 Mildly fruity, sweet aroma with some touches of herbal hops apparent. Clear deep golden body is topped by a generous white head that recedes slowly to a lasting fine bubbled cover with excellent lacing. Mild caramel malt light fruitiness with herbal hops apparent and fair, balancing bitterness. Medium light body is dry and well attenuated with crisp carbonation that stimulates the tongue and cheeks. Although flavour and aroma are both quite innocuous this is a well crafted, if simple beer. Enjoyed on tap in the Maple Leaf Lounge at Vancouver Airport. Slightly hazy deep golden color with foamy white head which soon turned into a thin white ring. Aroma is fruity malt with some mild spicy hop smells. Tastes clean with a slightly acidic aftertaste. Somewhat thin, but does go down smooth, a decent session brew. CapFlu (3483), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

Fairly thin white head dissipates quickly and gives a good glimpse into the deep copper body. Nose of mild hops with crystal malt. Decent enough English Pale but not what I am seeking in the Northwest. peterthepiper (2), Canada does not count | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 8, 2005 Updated: Apr 12, 2005Poured on tap at a pub, Pipers was not particularily special, nor did I expect it to be. The pint arrived at my table with most of the head dissipated as well as a rather off-putting aroma. The flavor reflected this aroma in the finish of the ale, however the initial flavors were more reflective of the "English Pale Ale" style. stephen louis (162), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
