Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 19, 2008 (Hand bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy dark brown with a rough beige head. Distinct aroma of roasted coffee. Quite a full body with plenty of hard roasted even burned malt. Again lots of coffee, a little medicinal, spicy with licorice notes. The finish is very bitter from both malts and hops. 120708 Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 11, 2008 Handbottled. A black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet matly with notes of roasted malt, and so is the flavor, though added notes of licorice, leading to a dry roasted finish. Thanks a lot yespr for bringing this to Copenhagen and sharing. yespr (6162), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 4, 2008 From tap at Conrad. Pours dark brown to black with a lacing tan head. Roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and annis seed in a dense dark aroma. Flavour is quite liqourice spiced from annis seed and with all the flavours present also in the aroma. Mild sweetness showing throught the solid roasted malt flavours. Ends bitter and roasted acidic. Nice, smooth and flavourfull. Nice stout. Holds nice fruity hops flavour into the very far finish. HenrikSoegaard (2985), Randers, Denmark Jun 24, 2008 Draught at Cafe Conrad, Vejle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Powerfull roasted aroma with strong chocolate notes. Heavy bitter flavor. Coffee and dark chocolate is dominating. Long nice finish. Creamy palate. Great stuff.
