Aroma of wet dog/wet grass, hay and canned corn. Light-bod; Funky grass taste at first, fading to some malty flavours and a tiny bit of sweeness. Aftertaste fades fast and doesn’t last long...not horrible. Overall, a decent beer - not as horrible as you’d imagine-but not really worth buying. Thanks Jon! I sampled this 33 cL bottle pulled from a ’World’ 12 Pack on 31 May 2005. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 30, 2005 I have had one of the Veltins Pils glasses and a bottle opener in my collection for years and never tasted the beer they belonged to, before my wife surprised me with a six pack of this. Poured it into the said glass, a quickly forming dense, soapy white head formed through intermittent and fine bubbles, atop a brilliant pale gold body. Soft, gritty and grainy, chaff aroma with a light mix of honey and leafy, grassy hops (very clean!!!). Creamy and soft in the mouth, lightly soapy without being detrimental. Quite full bodied for its style, a subtle mix of grainy, honey malts,; drying haystack chaff and grassy bitter hops and grain in the back before a short salty? and grainy swallow that really did go down with ease. This wasn’t too bad a pils, or was it that I was thirsty because before I knew it I was reaching for an empty bottle. Easy drinking!!! | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 12, 2005 11.2 oz bottle. Dig the raised letters on the brown glass bottle, but not enough to award a bonus point. Clear pale yellow beer, thin head. Clean and mild to taste light body; lots of bittering hops, little to no residual malt sweetness, surprisingly soft texture. Loved this beer back in the Berlin days, good to find it for sale in the US. Cable (286), SE, Oklahoma, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Sep 20, 2005 Sampled from bottle. Pours an almost clear gold with a quickly diminishing white head. Aroma is mild, sweet malt. Balanced flavor is accented with bubblegum and floral hops. Not very hoppy for a pils. Medium-light body, smooth and watery. Poor beer and hard to finish.
