Grassy metallic aroma with some malty notes and maybe some honey. Hops and grass in flavor too, dry and metallic, hops growing stronger in the finish. Quite a decent pilsener. pivnizub (5096), Bochum, Porúří, Germany
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jul 29, 2005 Flasche: Medium-sized fluffy head, pale golden coloured; some grassy hoppiness in the nose, but the main aroma is wet cardboard and some detergents, musty; very light bitter flavour and short, harsh unbalanced finish; this dishwater is nearly undrinkable......... | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jul 21, 2005 Clear gold. Smells of light hops, quite sweet, some decent promise there. Initial flavor is rather good, lightly hoppy, sweet, softer malts leaning towards more of a Czech pils than Bavarian. As the glass continues, the sweetness builds inexorably to an unpleasant, oversweet finish. Started OK, but as more was drunk of the bottle and the beer warmed, it became unpleasantly sweet and sugary. dornoy (681), Lyngby, Denmark

Quite refreshing, nice on a hot sommer day and pure enough ... it feels "clean". HazelRah (276), Summerland, British Columbia, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 19, 2005 Nose vaguely cornish, but really there’s not much to sniff at. Typical straw yellow. Refreshing mouthfeel. Quite bitter with even a mysterious hint of smoke. Better than I expected. Trev (887), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 10, 2005 From the can: Pours a clear standard gold with a creamy white head that sticks for a bit. Aroma is standard pils. Hay and malty but not skunky smelling lke many Czech pilz.
Flavour is sweet malty smooth. Nothing outstanding. But on par with Bitburge, Konig Pils. I do prefer the German examples to the Czech. Braudog (3777), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 2, 2005 Mostly sunny maize-colored broth with a frothy white head. Little aroma; starchy flavors overwrought with a funky/wheaty twist and a moderate bitterness.
