Bottle brown, 500 ml
Appearance: Pours very bright, citrusy yellowish colour, a bit hazy but not cloudy, very soft and very strongly carbonated like a fizzy drink body. Head is initially medium and decreases to small frothy snowy white, the visual sensation are all in all fantastic, lacing is also present, but is not strong, very typical look for a Classic German Pilsener.
Aroma: Very fresh, soft and lively, mineral nose, lemon, citrusy, very mild and gentle, no chalkyness, no maltyness or grainyness.
Flavour: At first seems wattery, but than despite its very refreshing, livley, citrusy it is also slightly aromatic from hops and very bitter on palate in the aftertaste. Very drinkable and easy going. Flowery hoppyness, finish duration is average.
Palate: Body is light, texture is wattery to dry, carbonation on palate is medium to livley, finish feel is bitter and mineralwith slight chalkyness and slightly aromatic hoppy. Borresteijn (1447), Amsterdam, Netherlands

Taste also grass, malty sweetness and some bitterness. It has a bit of cardboard in the finish and aftertaste. Makes it less good. Decent though. thornecb (1817), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

nose is distinctly barnyardy, some pine. sweet toffee malt and sugar. tastes some skunky funk to it, but also a bit of complexity not much, simple flavours like honey, and even some slight menthol. this is my favourite cheap lager at the moment. bhensonb (4392), Woodland, California, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 30, 2008 330 ml bottle dted 10/10/07. Gold color with a white smear for head. Aroma of sweet malt and fruit. A bit thin in body, with fizzy carbonation. The flavor is lightly sweet pale malt with a decent amount of bitter. Finish is thin and fairly balanced. Not so crisp and bitter as a pilsner, but that’s apparently the point with a pilsener.
