Sweet, sugary cola taste with a dry beerlike palate. Lovely! It actually looks okay; Clear, dark brown- ruby coloured with a firm, beige head. Saarlander (1579), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA

| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | May 8, 2006 Bottle. 2,0%. Citric cola aroma. A bit darker than average cola with a very small head. Sweet aspartam flavour, almost solely cola with a sugary beer mouthfeel. Does not seem to contain aspartam, though. pivo (2537), Germany
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Dec 28, 2005 Hey, this looks like it might be a deep, rich-bodied dunkel or something. But it’s not. It’s a bad joke. A marketing gimic. Smells and tastes like a home-made cola project gone bad. Not beer comes through. Why would anyone ever want to try this? I predict these types of beers will vanish: even the non-beer aficionado won’t drink this stuff twice. More importantly, how could the country that came up with the Reinheitsgebot produce such terrible crap? Shame on you, Veltins. YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Dec 28, 2005 Nice dark brown red color with a small head on top. Smells like a Diesel- Cola with beer, what a suprise. Tastes cola like, not that sweet - pui - some hops and malt detecteble, but all in all it is like those cola gummi candies you can buy. Not as bad as expected. Doggythedog (1590), Split, Croatia
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Dec 12, 2005 Beer no.9 of my Slovenian beer hunt. I’ve decided to go first with the freaks. Ah, well. This is 40% Pils and 60% Cola by the way ! It looks like a cola, brown cola head that went as fast as cola heads do. Smells like... cola ! Wasn’t that a surprise ? Malt too. You wouldn’t believe what it tastes like though..... why, cola of all things ! Well, like cola without the agressive fizz. Some very weak background malt and maybe hops... lemony of course. Well, I like cola, so it might get a better rating that it should’ve gotten. If you want an alcoholic cola, go for it. Papsoe (15009), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Oct 14, 2005 (Can 50 cl) 60% pilsener and 40% lemon flavoured cola! Now, that’s a first... Chestnut coloured cola look with no head but a lot of fizz. Very sweet with a marked underlying biterness - overall the cola clearly dominates this "beer". But a rather inharmonious mongrel brew. But one good thing: Veltin sponsors Schalke 04. 280803
