Commercial Description:

On tap at the Brewpub. Reddish brown body with a dense off-white head. Aroma is mild malty with a hint of dry fruit and brown sugar. Flavor is sweet malt, some caramel, candy sugar, some dry fruit and a pleasant acidulous touch. Harmonic palate, relatively strong, truly hides the high alcohol, but I feel some more bitterness to this would make it more harmonic, it’s a bit on the sticky side right now IMO.

Thanks Yngwie for handbottling this for me :) It has a beautiful, dark red copper color with a huge, nice and creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, raisin, candy sugar and sweetness. The flavour has sweetness, notes of roasted malt, light raisin, dark candy sugar, syrup and light citrus. It could be more complex, but it’s a nice, average BW. Tasted again draught at the brewpub primo September 08, this is batch 2, my first rating was from batch 1. The aroma has a light sweetness, notes of malt, caramel, plum, raisin ad a little candy sugar. The flavour has sweetness, notes of malt, caramel, candy sugar, plum and raisin. The alcohol is well hidden. The complexity and balance is even better than in batch 1.

(on bottle, thanks Yngwie) Soft malty and blueberry-ish aroma. Light mouthfeel. The hops gets the sweet taste juuust in balance and adds a herbyness, witch actually saves the whole picture. Semiwarm finish.

Bottle @ thewolf tasting.
[thank you, Yngwie - handbottled same day]
Beautiful clear amber with next-to-nothing head - a thin film. Aroma is a bit weak, some muskiness, caramel and slight wet hoppiness. Great, oily mouthfeel. Actually reminds me a bit of the Old Stock (though inferior). Rounded flavour, good caramel, well vinious - overall good balance.

And to finish it of - I’d say "Svedbold!"
