It serves a slightly hazy ruby to brown body, quite oily, and with a small, beige head. Dried fruits, caramel, sugars, alcohol, fresh fruits, a tiny spiced note and a faint touch of DMS in the aroma. Really pleasant, but not top notch. The flavor is slightly better, with many similarities with the aroma. Dried fruits, sugars, some caramel and grains, notes of fresh fruits and spices and some bitterness. Full-bodied and warming, with a lasting finish with caramel, some spices and bitterness and dried fruits. Sure not a quaffable beer, it’s a real sipper. Maybe too warm though. Sure one of the best from Vendia. (090205) tarjei (1758), Bryne, Norway
