Commercial Description:
Danish: Som navnet fortæller, er der tale om en sort øl, som har fået sin flotte sorte farve af ristede malte. Vendia Schwartzbier er ligesom en pilsner undergæret og er karakteriseret ved en let drikkelighed, som man måske ikke forventer af en mørk øl. Smag og duft præges af de mørke malte som giver toner af kaffe og lakrids. Sødme fra malten anes, men dominerer ikke. Humlen gør sit til at bitterheden også melder sig. Vendia Schwartzbier er en øl, der passer virkelig godt til mad, men er også dejlig, hvis man bare er tørstig.

Botella. Clear deep dark brown colur. Roasty malty caramel aroma. Flavour of roasty malt and caramel with some chocolate and a light sourness.

Bottle. Hazy brown bodied with a medium brown head. Aroma is roasted coffee and chocolate. Light tobacco notes. Flavour is Roasted malt, light coffee and chocolate. Nice brew!

Botttle @ Danish Summer Gathering, 2009. Pours pitch black with a small creamy bubbly head. Ashy, roast, coffee, caramel. Medium to thin palate. A bit of grain. Drinkable.

Bottle. Low and quickly disappearing fluffy white head. Hazy red brown body. Alcohol dominated malt caramel aroma. Barley malt flavour with caramel and nots plus a sour note. Low carbonation, short aftertaste.

clear amber, small white head. aroma is slighly sourish, caramellly, toffee. coffee flavor is fruity, sourish, dry, roasted grains, sourness might hint of a starting infection.

Handbottled. Good roasted aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Nice appearance, red shine. Very small head. The flavour is nicely roasted, slightly nutty and with a hint of caramel.

33 cL handbottled, courtesy of yngwie. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Dense coffee and chocolate aroma. Roasted malt flavoured, light bitterness and distinct acidic roasted. Bitter and roasted flavoured finish with a distinct lasting coffeish and dark chocolate note.
