Pours clear golden with a light copper tinge. Nice creamy, staying, off-white head. Aroma has clear liqourice, light cloves, some anise, caramel sweetness, fruity hops, soft yeast. High carbonation, okay but a tad spritzy. Flavour is dry, lots of caramel, light toffee, soft berries and a good note of grassy and piney hops. Dries out my teeth nicely. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 22, 2009 Amber with a big and lasting white head. Malty caramel aroma, with some diacetyl. Sweet malty flavour with diacetyl, and a hint of continental hops. I’m not impressed and would rather have a 5% beer with the same profile, which is not impossible to brew...
