Had it on bottle at beertasting Verhaege. Not confusing this beer with Cambrinus Pils a 4.9 % beer from same brewery. This beer is an amber ale.

25cl bottle labeled BB 08 08 06 (no wonder why the previous ratings were from Oct ’06). Poured a medium amber color with smaller sized off white head. Aromas of roast, wood, burnt caramel, vinegar, and fruity. I would have guessed a Flemish Sour with this aroma. Tastes of caramel, toffee, fruity, and light vinegar. Finished lighlty tart. Call me crazy, but I was into the tart vinegar side of this one.

Thanks to hopdog. Pours a translucent amber with a small bubbly off white head. Aroma of caramel, vinegar, mixed fruits, nuts and some toffee. Flavor of toffee, metallic, some various fruits...not a whole lot more.

Bottled. Copper colour, mediumzsized bubbly beige head. Aroma is saccarine along with sweet tropical fruits and slight toffeeish hints. Flavour is the same, but the sweeness has turned into a biting sourness and bitterness. So from sweet tropical fruit to dry, sour fruit. Also rich carbonation tickles the tongue. Mouthdrying finish.

Amber color. Nothing specials. Aroma is better than the taste. Little sweet taste. Dry at the end.

It is like one beer to the palm family. But better. A typical product off Verhaeghe. A little bit sweet. This beer i liked all over 20 years.

Amber brown colour with minimal head. Some bread in the nose and some toastiness. Flavour was some malts but little else before ending slightly sour.
