0.25l bottle at home. Clear brown color with almost no head. Sweet and sour nose and for me very sour taste. Who like it may be good but I didn’t like it at all.

Bright amber with a white head. Sour vinegary aroma with some sweetness. Unlike this brewer’s Duchesse de Bourgogne, the taste is marginally on the side of palatability: the strong sourness is balanced by agreeable fruity sweetness and a grapefruit dryness.

A Mes rate: 25cl Bottle at the Delirium Cafe. I’m a big fan of Verhaeghe and this did not disappoint. Usual flemish sour nose, fruity and notes of balsamic vinegar and typical of this brewer. Looks like a muddy Orval. Sour vinegar flavour with plenty of caramel. Wonderfully soft and fruity yet rich and complex. Good palate. Crisp dry finish followed by bags of sweet caramel notes. Unusual finish indeed. Just a slight soapy note that lets it down a little. Imagine Vichtenaar with more caramel and you are pretty much there.

Coppery colored, little white head. Portwine, oak, caramel, sourness, berries and mild alcohol in aroma. Medium bodied. Oak with vinous tones and lemon in flavor, aftertaste is sweet with mild sourness and alcohol. Good brew.

Very light brown color with a small layer of a head on top. Nice sour acidic, dark beeries syrup nose. Intense acidic, marple syrup kick at first, mellows down and releases some sweetness at the end. Yummie!
