DRunk from goblet. Pours deep red with a thin head. Aroma is sour and fruity. Strong apple flavour, rich and sweet. Very sour tasting. A very interesting brew. I have never had anything like it before. It reminds me a bit of a port.

25 cl Bottle. Sour ales have not been my thing so far (but I only tried a limited amount of them). THis is the first I really liked. The brownish-burgundy red color with the small off white head is fantastic. Very vinuous aroma, sharp and you can expect some decent sourness. The flavor is nice, complex and very refreshing. I can imagine drinking this every now and then (even though I have to order it from eshops).

On tap at the Brew Kettle. Pour looks dark brown. When I hold it up to the light its a very dark red. White head. Aroma is oak, tart cherry, and some caramel sweetness. Has a light mouthfeel. Flavor follows the nose and has a sublte sour character. Probably a little too underdone IMO. Still a descent brew.

Tap. Pours a deep red toned brown. Earthy tones with touch of cherry, wood, tasty malts, brown sugar, hints of caramel. Well carbonated mouth. Dig this guy.

Aroma is ultra sweet malts, sour apple and cherry. Taste is sweet sour cherry, some caramel, vinegar, and a less that desirable aftertaste that takes away from an otherwise very good beer.

Ourageous beer. Poured a thick tan head that produced some pretty good rope-like lacing. Head outlasted the beer. Dark garnet in colour. Aroma is an awesome combination of yeast, red wine vinegar, apples, peaches, plums.....and I’ll also add that there may be a dry dusty scent too. Taste is excelent. It seems to cleanse the mouth and throat every sip. Really sour, tangy, cherries, yeast and very dry, which is odd because I’m drooling. Excellent deep chest burn! Definetly red wine characteristics here (reminding me of a Nouveau Boujolais). Mouthfeel is unlike anything else I’ve ever had. Very slick. Dries the mouth temporarily, a decent ammount of carbonation that is very fine on the re-swish. The affect on my tongue is similar to sticking a 9 volt battery on it (try it out!). Has a mouth-smacking hard dry and tart finish that fades to a lengthy dryness. Chest still burns! Amazingly easy to consume. One of the best 4 or 5 beers I’ve ever had period. In a category all on its own. This is a must try for anyone. I’m going to get more for pure pleasure and cellaring. 5 Chernobal thumbs up!

Reddish-brown, almost mahogany color with a nice beige head, slightly rocky, disappears fairly quickly. Aroma of apples, spices. Cloves? Taste is a nice balance of sour with some sweetness. Somewhat cider-like, but also a very "winey" beer. Alcohol barely noticeable. Love this beer! One of my favorites.

A clear red colour. Interesting aroma of sweet fermentet fruit. Taste of cherries and sugar. The sweetnes is copansated by the refreshing sournes. Could maybe have a stronger palate. A very intresting and tasty beer.
