The color is absolutely beautiful, the sour smell wonderful, the taste suprisingly soft and the finnish nicely tart. Up there with rodenbach when it comes to sweet and sour beer, the fruity notes are just beautiful. Why don’t they hype this at all? Goddamn classy bitch of a beer.

750ml. Bottle. Deep burgundy color with a soft tan ring of foam. Musky aroma with tart fruits and aged wood. Shows characteristics of balsamic, but with more sugar and less vinegar. Flavor is similar with pronounced acidic cherry and sweet malt characteristics. Mouthfeel is somewhat fizzy and medium bodied. Definitely a bit sour on the tongue with notes of the oak barrel throughout. Finish is dry and lingering.

Pours copper with a nice, light brown head. Aroma shows raspberry, balsamic vinegar and oak. Palate has sweet malt that brings berries before the oak kicks into gear and delivers a dry, salty mustiness to it. Finishes with chalky, slightly tart acidity.

Dark burgandy in color with a bubbly tan head.Smell is awesome. Sour apple dominates the nose as well as cherry. It is a bit musky and tart and very complex like a good wine.Very sweet taste at first and it finishes sour. Light malt flavor with hints of cherry, cranberry, and sour apple. Light carbonation and a great taste make this a must try.
