Draft at Seattle International Beer Fest; Nose of cherries and very light tartness; Rusty red with a huge beige head; flavor of sour cherries with a balancing light sweetness; finish slightly tart.

Nothing compared to Verhaeghe’s Duchesse de Bourgogne. It’s aroma is full of that acidic, sour cherry, and alchohol. Appearane is a dark reddish color, with a nice red brown head. It’s flavor is simply communion wine. This is far to vinegary for my taste. It’s probaly best served with a steak. Too bad I did not have one. It’s a bit too much alone. Not a session, and not a stand alone beverage.

Bottle. Pours deep red with a pink head. Very strong sour cherry aroma, with a hint of vinegar. Flavour was very sour and very cherry. An extremely good beer, but not one you could drink a lot of.

Bottle. Deep, reddish-brown color, pinkish head. Aroma of sour cherries and some earthy tones. Beautiful cherry flavor, with well-balanced sweetness. One of the best krieks I’ve had the pleasure of tasting.
