oakbluff (298), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Jun 7, 2008 Bottle courtesy of tysoanderso. Pours a dark rose colour with good clarity and off white head. Nose is intensely fruity with cherries blasting through. Taste- sweet initially with a woody earthy finish. Sour but not in your face. Smells more sour than actually is. FInishes clean with crisp carbonation. Quite drinkable. Brewer101 (162), New Jersey, USA Jun 6, 2008 Nice sour ale. Might be my first, not sure though. IT was a nice pour with a dark red body. Love that red coloring. There was little head and no sediment. The aroma was a bit too fruity for me. The flavor was very juicy, easy to drink with nice carbonation. the body was nice, not to syrupy. good sour ale indeed. bitbucket (2026), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jun 5, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear and ruddy light brown with a persistent off-white head. Aroma of wood, vinegar, funk, cherry. Body tending to light, along with the carbonation. Sweet and sour cherry taste that finishes a bit woody. Nice and refreshing. jredmond (1015), New Jersey, USA Jun 5, 2008 Bottle. Pours dark red body, no head. Aroma is tart, slight vinegar. Taste is great - flavor is tart and cherry. daknole (2802), Plantation, Florida, USA Jun 4, 2008 Well I would love to rate this one based on a good bottle, but I cannot...the one I had was pure vinegar. So I will give this an average rating...right down the middle. yespr (11613), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 2, 2008 25 cL bottle, thanks to BelJohansen. Pours clear and golden red with a lacing pink head. Extremely dry and sulphorish cherry aroma. Dry to acidic sulphor/wooden flavour. Solid citric bite following. Woody flavour seems more dominant than the cherry fruit notes. Ends in a citric to dry sulphor wood finish. thewolf (5623), Kolding, Denmark May 27, 2008 Bottle, bought @ Havnens Vin & Tobak, Vejle.
Pours deep dark red with a small rim of light pink foam. Aroma has cherries, good earthy tartness, oak and barnyard. Rather high carbonation. Flavour has quite little cherries, only a faint not. Flavour is lightly fruity tart with citric notes. Good oakiness and dry finish. Okay. JK54B (913), Helsinki, Finland May 25, 2008 Nice light red colour. Quite sour taste. Average carbonation. Not very cherryish taste. Quite transparent. No nose of cherries.
