11.2 oz. bottle at Teresa’s Next Door, Wayne, PA. Poured reddish brown with fizzy head. Mild lacing. Delightful tart cherry flavor, but not overwhelming. Dances on the tongue. Would definitely revisit.

very strong carbonation creates a spongy head and maintains. red with brown edges. raspberry, pie cherry, vinegar notes. smooth in spite of the strong wood foundation. the fruit essence finds a way to the sinuses as the mouthfeel ends with soft old yeast.

Copper-ruby color; sour cherry aroma. This is the Vichtenaar with cherries and you can taste the wood funkiness, tart sour cherries, slight wood and balsamic notes. I’ve had this in the bottle, on tap, cold, on ice and mulled. Fascinating and distinct brew.

De Zolder, Brugge, New Year’s Eve. Sweetshop clarity and some sugar, but nibbles with genuine lambic/sour ale character. Lurking wood, acid, alcohol and even a hint of cheese. The natural sweetness of the fruit without it being overpowering. Definitely not a ’ladybeer’. A find.

Deep cherry red color, small reddish head. Sour aroma of vinegar, berries and oak. Sour cherry flavor, some sugar sweetness, tart finish with some sugar. Standard cherry Flemish sour ale, not really complex, but reasonably drinkable.

Deep red of color with a reddish/pink head. A sour aroma with notes of cherries and no sweets. A flavor of sour cherries and lovely dry.

On tap at PP C-bad. Pours a dark ruby red with not much of a head, Sourness on the nose. Some carbonation but smooth on your palate. Sweetness quickly fades to puckering sour cherries with oaky vinegar. Nice finish and very good drinking sour ale.
