12 oz bottle, into tulip snifter glass. Pours a luscious tone of pink-red with slightly red tinted, quickly dissapearing head. Nose is dominated by sour cherries, but unusual hints of vinegar, wood, and a very slight malt sweetness show up. Spritzy but thin on the palate, sour cherries give a slight puckering sensation, turns into a strange menthol-like finish. If you like the style this is a decent example.

Ruby brown appearance with little had or carbonation. Sweet champagne aroma. Nice cherry tartness with a musty cork like finish. A little flat.

Nice beer! The simple commercial description does actually provide a succinct description. Those flavors are very well balanced and blended. Almost, if not a session beer. Natural, great finish.

Tasted on tap at Stone brewery. Amber color with a clear layer (illusion?) on top. Thin to no head of small-to-microbubbles. Nice musty sour aroma. Sweet, perfect mild sourness. mild sour cherry aroma. Slippery velvety smoothness. Very drinkable. Lots of similarity to duchess, except this is much better. Delicious.

[bottle] Reddish brown in color, with a light ring of white foam around the edge. Aroma is tart and fruity, with plenty of cherries. Slight vinegar. Mildly acidic flavors blend well with some sweetish brown malts and fruit. Nice oak complexity. Very dry, tart finish.
