IslandHaole (1035), Onna-Son, Okinawa-Ken, Japan Sep 4, 2007 Ruby color with a small fizzy off-white head. Has that what I call ’’barnyard’’ scent with a bit of sour cherry tossed in there for good measure. Has a dry flavor, mild tart cherry with a bit of pucker power but not like some of the other sour ales I have tried. A nice step up for those used to the overly sweet Krieks like Bellevue. A Flemmish sour with training wheels. drewbeerme (2224), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 3, 2007 11.2oz bottle. pours red with white head. nose is earthy and syrupy cherries. flavor is earthy, too sweet, cough syrup like cherry flavor. watery mouth feel. refreshing. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Name: Echt Kriek

I would like to rerate this beer.

austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA Aug 23, 2007 Loads and loads of cherries - almost like drinking fizzy cherry juice. A little tarter than most Flemish Sours, and lacking in the sweetness that goes with the style. However, if you like a tart/sour, complex cherry brew, then this is for you! tytoanderso (1381), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Aug 6, 2007 Updated: Apr 24, 2008Bottle. Beautiful oaken sour cherry nose. Pours a beautiful mahogany brown red with a tiny pinkish white head. Dry with big notes of sour cherry. Lots of wood and vinegar. Medium bodied. I liked this quite a bit better than the regular Verhaeghe sour. ha1ag (415), Maastricht, Netherlands Aug 1, 2007 bottled in Pothuiske Maastircht. dark reddish amber color with pinkish white head. rather high carbonation. Aroma has sour cherries and oak. Pleasant SHIG (2012), Aviano, Italy Jul 28, 2007 Bottle: Poured a reddish brown amber with a thin light head. The aroma was a sour cherry. The taste was very sour and tart cherry, but the dry tingly that remained opened my tongue up for more sips! daniele (1640), Italy Jul 25, 2007 scura non molta schima profuma di ciliegie legno agrodolce e vinosa e sul finale prevale la ciliegia
