Poured a clear, ruby red color with a thin, off white head that left no lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet cherries, grapes, port wine, and light oak. Taste of medicinal, sweet cherries, faint oak, and a lingering tartness. The first sip was a shocker, but I got used to this. Sten (288), Westerlo, Belgium

This had a whiff of cherry, a bit like the Liefmans. Good sourness but the cherries don’t over power it. Good kriek beer with good balance. Maybe could do with a touch more malt mrkimchee (1414), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Aroma is a little weak but nice. Vinegar, cherries (of course), light wood-smoke and sweaty yeast.
Taste is mild but nice. Slightly sour, somewhat sweet. Mouth puckering a little. Aftertaste fades quickly from lightly sour, tiny bit bitter.
Overall it’s nice, but of Verhaeghe, I like Vichtenaar a little better. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
