Apr 4, 2005 Pours red with a thin white head. Aroma very apparent of cherries and maybe vanilla also. Nice, tart lambic flavor and cherry is not too sweet like some Krieks. Slight amount of the oak flavor, but once again not overdone like some oak-aged brews. Well carbonated and dry mouthfeel. Pretty nice!

Mar 30, 2005 Bottle: Tary cherry aroma. Pours a deep transparent red with a tan head with a pink tint that fades quickly. Starts rather tart cherry but not as much so in the finish. Light vinegar in the background.

Mar 18, 2005 Updated: Nov 5, 2005Bottled. Ruby red with no head. Big cherry nose. Malty cherry taste, not really sour at all. Tastes like a cherry soda. Also seems a bit watery. NOt bad but far from being my favorite sour.
Re-Rate: Not so watery this time around but still a liitle too sweet for me.

Mar 3, 2005 Deep black cherry soda hue. Small purplish head. Definate vinegar, sour cherry, medicinal nose. Nice funk, acidic, vinegar, light in body, dark cherry, wood, cherry pit, funky sour finish. Crisp and refreshing, but simple, and kind of boring. Finishes with a dark, lingering, over-ripened cherry flavor.

Mar 2, 2005 Updated: Jul 18, 2005RATING #900!!!!! ...and I think I may have poisoned myself... which is usually my initial reaction to a Flemish Sour, a style I admit to not understanding. This one’s pretty good. It pours a beautiful ruby red with a frothy pink head. The nose is all sour cherries. The flavor is at first like cherry cough medicine, but it broadens out to include vanilla, other fruits, a bit of earthiness... a fairly complex taste experience followed by a tart, puckering finish.
